Frank A. Bettmann has been practicing law for more than 35 years. Although born in Kansas, Bettmann has spent most of his life living and working in South Dakota.
He began his studies at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and later transferred to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 and his Master of Public Administration in 1978 from USD.
Mr. Bettmann earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow. He soon returned to Rapid City where he served as a Deputy States Attorney until 1983. Since then, he has been in private practice.
Mr. Bettmann is licensed to practice law in South Dakota and Nebraska trial and appellate courts as well as federal courts in South Dakota. He also holds a license to practice in the Eighth Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Bettmann’s resume encompasses several aspects of law including civil and criminal trials, litigation and appeals, business, corporate and commercial practice and personal injury with a focus on motorcycle cases. He has provided representation to clients internationally in the business arena and has extensive litigation experience.
